We recognize that the most efficient and sustainable way to cultivate vanilla is to allow the orchid to grow along trees native to the forest which provides the appropriate levels of heat and humidity. This method has been used since the times of the Totonac people, who were native to Mexico.
 
Orchids do not grow on plantations, for that reason, we take care to purchase our vanilla from farmers who respect and appreciate the forests and land.
